Earlier today, we told you about The Amazing Spider-Man's strong showing at midnight screenings, but now we have projections for the entire day.

With the help of IMAX screens and 4th of July vacations, the Wall-Crawler is all set to swing out of the box office with $27 million by the end of the day!

It's not enough to put Peter Parker on The Avengers' radar, but it is an especially auspicious beginning for the Andrew Garfield edition of the franchise.

In fact, some projections speculate the film could gross up to $140 million by week's end!
