Adding a chick flick to the mix, Eva Mendes’ forthcoming film “Girl in Progress” has just released an official teaser trailer.

The Pantelion Films production stars Mendes as a single mom named Grace who is too busy juggling work, bills, and her married boyfriend to take care of her teenage daughter Ansiedad, played by newcomer Cierra Ramierez.

And when Ansiedad finally reaches her breaking point, she enlists her friend to help her plot a shortcut to becoming an adult. Of course, the whole thing backfires, and both Grace and Ansiedad have to face the fact that they must both act their age. “Girl in Progress” hits theaters April 27th.
